In this Unit, I learned the five(5) typical patterns that the most commonly taught when Teaching as a Foreign Language such as : Zero conditional, First conditional, Second conditional, Third conditional and Mixed conditional. I also realized that as a teacher, I have to let my students know that in reporting speech, it's sometimes OK to NOT make the changes but that's only in the instances when the originally said does not cause confusion to their listener.This unit gives excellent tips on how to use coursebooks. It also gives advice on how to use authentic materials in the classroom. Using a coursebook can have its advantages and disadvantages. One advantage would be that the coursebook has been tested before and can be used. However, a disadvantage is that the coursebook is designed to fit a general level or group of learners and may not have specific answers to the problems that individual learners may have.
