In this unit i have learnt the important of proctive (speaking and writing) skills. The writing skill is usually relegated to homework and is more difficult because one needs a higher degree of accuracy, whilst speaking mistakes can be cleared immediately and only requires a higher degree of fluency from the students.
The teacher must always prepare the lesson to involve the desire and the need for the students to communicate. The difference between the accuracy activities and the fluency activies are: the first being used in the study phase and is usually concentrated on the correct use of the language, whilst the second is used in the active phase and is the creative side of the language. Therefore, both are equally important and one can get a clear view of the students capability of understanding the use of the language and the fluency of it in the activity.
