Unit 9: Course Book and Lesson Material is an eye opener for me. I learned a lot in terms of the advantages and disadvantages of having coursebooks. I also learned about authentic material which is real and therefore more interesting and motivating for the students. Using this material can help the students to gain confidence when they understand them and lastly, it is geared towards the interest of a particular group of students. Moreover, I also learned about the use of created materials which I enjoyed the most while I am studying this section. My mind was opened to the fact that I can create and integrate it into my lesson. It was a realization on my part that as a teacher, I need to be creative in order for me to get the interest and motivate my students to study and learn every time I teach them. I appreciate this Unit lesson so much. Thank you very much.
