This unit focuses on lesson planning. Starting from stating why lesson planning is important for experienced and inexperienced teacher alike, the unit then moves on to explaining how a lesson should be structured and what should be included in a proper plan. Issues that are likely to be encountered when preparing a series of lessons are also discussed. Pivotal in order to properly understand how to appropriately plan a lesson is the example given at page 4. In my opinion, this example, coupled with the tasks 2 and 3 of the task sheet, is the most important and formative part of the whole unit as it gives you a concrete idea of how the planning should be carried out. Lastly, the unit explains how to assess your own lessons through a self-evaluation form: properly understanding strengths as well as weaknesses o you own lessons is crucial for personal development.
