In this lesson, I studied the functions, writing, and implementation of lesson plans. Lesson plans serve as aids to planning, working documents, and records of classes taught. Generally, lesson plans should be kept simple, flexible, and structured. It is important to note the anticipated time for each activity in the lesson plan so as to determine whether there is an appropriate amount of content for the time allotted for the class. Lessons plans can vary in the way they are written, especially depending on the experience of the teacher. Many at least include learner and teacher objectives, the language point or points of focus, the procedure of activities in the lesson and their anticipated timing, and the date. To improve future lessons and develop as an effective teacher, it is important to monitor oneself and evaluate one's own performance in the classroom.
