This has been the most comprehensive unit to date; I learned a tremendous amount about how to teach the language. Much of the unit was devoted to the ESA method of Engage Study Activate. Within ESA, there are a number of different methods, including boomerang and straight arrow. Depending on the age and level of the students, different methods will be more affective. One of the most important things I learned from this unit was when and when not to correct a student. It is very important that the students feel comfortable, and being able to make mistakes is a large part of that. If they are constantly being corrected, than they may feel discouraged. But corrections are important, especially when it is a key concept and may become a habit if not corrected. This unit also gave some great ideas for lessons and worksheets, such as hangman and the \"mime' technique.
