In order to create an environment conducive to learning, many factors have to be considered. The students must feel comfortable and motivated to learn. Different individuals have different needs and expectations that must be reconciled. The teacher must be observant and considerate so that potential dilemmas can be precluded before the the learning environment is disturbed. With a professional mindset displayed through qualities like punctuality and strict adherence to cultural and institutional standards of conduct, the teacher can inspire respect in her student, thereby maintaining order in the classroom. Through the appropriate use of eye contact, body language, gestures, praise, and discipline the teacher can build rapport with the students as she/he communicates in a manner that demonstrates that she/he is passionate about facilitating and promoting learning.
