The material that was covered in Unit 20 gave me a lot to think about when planning for my current classes. I have some very large classes and they are not always the easiest to control. This being said, these are high school students being forced to be where they don?t want to be. I?d imagine that is much less of an issue for English language classes. Those students want to be there. This gives me a lot of hope for a less stressful classroom environment!This unit discusses the different ways a teacher can evaluate and conduct tests. There are various methods through which a teacher can monitor his/her students' response to the class and general progress: tutorials, students surveys and tests. Placement or diagnostic tests are given at the beginning of the course to gauge the student's level and adjust class materials accordingly. Throughout the class, practice tests and formal exams can be used to track progress.
