This unit provided interesting and valuable insight into how to best view the classroom. I had never really considered many of these details, such as the benefits and problems with different seating arrangements or the teacher's vocal intonation, to name a few. But after reading through this section, I understand more clearly that there can be dramatic repercussions in the classroom that stem from details that I considered before to be small and insignificant. This unit challenged me to examine the classroom in a bigger scope. Rather, I am walking away from this unit with a broader, more real life-focused view of the classroom. Even the mundane, such as where a student sits, can affect his or her learning potential. As a teacher, it is my job to maximize every student's learning potential, and so these details are useful for me to consider and acknowledge as valid.
