This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered Conditionals, and Reported Speech vs. Direct Speech. First, this unit covered what a conditional is. A conditional is an if/when statement with a condition that must be fulfilled to ensure a reaction. There are two clauses in a conditional sentence, the \"if clause,\" and the \"main clause.\" There are five different forms of conditionals. Second, this unit covered Reported (Indirect) Speech vs. Direct Speech. Direct Speech is actual speech, or possibly even what we understand as dialogue. Reported speech is speech that is reported to someone by someone other than the person speaking originally. In conclusion, I have learned that the two clauses in a conditional can be in any order, and it will not change the meaning of the sentence. I have also learned that verbs and pronouns can change in reported speech without changing what happened previously.
