In this unit regarding evaluations and testing of students, I learned of the different methods and tests that exist. The types of evaluation methods seem very appropriate. The options between using tutorials, evaluation by students, and/or tests to measure whether or not the lesson initiatives have been met are reasonable methods that can be used interchangeably. I can recall that as a student my teachers also asked the class to evaluate the course material, and we were generally unprepared to provide such feedback on short notice. I think that this would be a more valuable evaluation method when students anticipate it and are aware of their opportunity to react to the course material. When I am in the position to implement these methods I would more spontaneously administer tests and tutorials, and notify students in advance of their evaluation of the course.
