Unit 11 dealt with teaching receptive skills; the two receptive skills are reading and listening. The reasons for listening were broken down into to categories: entertainment and purpose. These two categories were broken down into subcategories such as prediction, scanning, skimming, detailed, etc. Some other aspects that were covered were keeping the students interested in material by switching it up throughout the course, and to pre-teach certain vocabulary without \"overdoing it\"!In this unit i have learnt about teaching vocabulary and grammar. , how to use the ESA lesson plan while teaching vocabulary and grammar lessons .I also learnt about what the difficulty of the vocabulary depends on and how i can select vocabulary lists . What does the student need to know about a vocabulary item , techniques for vocabulary teaching, introducing grammatical structures , techniques for presenting and practising language structures and finally teaching language functions .
