This unit briefly presents the tense system in English language. The focus is the present tense,
namely present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. The form of each tense grammar point is presented, Which includes affirmative, negative and questions. It is followed by usage and typical student errors. The typical student error section is very useful, because it helps to reason why the student is making such a mistake. The part with activate teaching ideas is also helpful, for it gives and idea on how to teach the grammar points.Unit 14 is related to the course books and lesson materials that can be used during the lesson. It also covers a complicated issue whether to use course books or not, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using them. This unit focuses on presentation of authentic and created materials as well. These are usually more interesting and motivating for students than course books and I should involve them in my teaching. There are also some examples of created materials in this unit so I can take an inspiration and prepare similar created materials for my students.
