This section focused on the productive skills of writing and speaking. The content discussed the difference between fluency and accuracy and how to encourage both aspects of language learning into the ESA model. What I have read confirms what I've learned from my own experiences learning and teaching a foreign language. Writing is a skill that should not be neglected. Listening and reading are different skill sets from speaking and writing. There are different ways to enhance fluency skill from accuracy skills from students.This lesson used videos lesson to show the differences between an effective and an ineffective ESL lesson. It used the first lesson to show a ineffective lesson and the second to show an effective one. It taught a number of ways a lesson can be effective they included the teachers attitude, how to elicit information, how to teach a concept and how to link each phase of the lesson. It further showed the importance of communicating in a way the students can understand and that being encouraging facilitates class participation.
