This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In unit twenty I learned about troubleshooting certain problems which many arise in a typical classroom. First lessons was discussed and how there are new groups and existing groups. I learned how to properly approach new class groups and learned about the pros and cons of each group. I also learned about warmers and how to deal with larger classes. There are also different problems which may arise in a student such as a reluctant student or the use of a native language. I was able to learn how to efficiently solve these problems as they arise. The teacher's attitude is always important. The teacher can't just assume the students know the subject or say it is easy like the first lesson, it generates anxiety and intimidates students. A teacher must always get in the classroom ready, organized and willing to provide a great learning experience to all students. In the second lesson, students were much more enganging and we can notice that learning was affective. Whereas in the first lesson students were shy and confused because the teacher seemed to not care to give a poor quality class.
