This chapter solidified the difference between accuracy and fluency, and also provided various helpful activity suggestions to practice both accuracy and fluency in the classroom through controlled, guided, and creative communication methods. Furthermore, and very importantly, it provided possible explanations as to why students might be shy in the classroom (especially in terms of speaking), as well as ways to encourage their particiaption. It is important to take such things (the student's perspective) into consideration to have a successful outcome in the class. It also pointed to the most important aspects of teaching writing, and provided helpful lesson plan suggestions for both reading and writing. The games section at the end is particularly helpful. I believe games can be one of the most effective ways to inspire students to learn a language in a fun setting.
