This unit focuses on course design. Firstly, its emphasis is on the procedure of designing a course which demonstrates each step of that. Teachers are expected to apply the \"Level test\" including the level of English proficiency of students rather than any specific business knowledge. Hence, graded General English level tests are suitable. The next step is \"Needs analysis\" which helps teachers to know about students' previous learning experience, what they use English for, and what they need to learn. Importantly, it enables teachers to develop their syllabus. The unit represents different types of syllabus as well as how a syllabus is designed and what factors should be taken into consideration when doing that. Additionally, different students' assessment tests are demonstrated as well as course evaluation which lead to an approptiate course for various learners.
