In unit 20, we were taught about common problem situations. As mentioned in the unit, first lesson of a class should not be using course book but to rather use different types of activities to understand the students and to have a bond between the teacher and the students. There were a few warming up ideas to start off the class with as they are usually short, fun and communicative. Also mentioned, how different level students can be helped. Large classes are usually hard to handle as you always have a time limit for a class and may not be able to do all the activities that you can do with a smaller group, that's when pair work and group activities can take place, this will also help students who are reluctant to participate. Listening text are always tricky but also very important, this is where most of the students struggle as they would usually miss out the answers.
