This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit can be divided into two main sections: conditionals and reported and direct speech. The first part of the unit focuses on what conditional sentences are, which types of conditionals there are, how they are formed and which usage they have. The five main conditionals (zero, first, second, third and mixed conditional) are explained and examples for each are given. The second part of the unit focuses on direct and reported speech instead: how verb tenses, pronouns and time expression need to change when shifting from direct to indirect (or reported) speech. A wide range of examples is given. For conditionals as well as reported and direct speech typical students' errors or mistakes are outlined. Further, teaching ideas for the activate phase of a typical ESA lesson are given for both sections: once again, this is very helpful for future lesson planning purposes.
