This unit discussed the use of various pieces of equipment and teaching aids in the language learning classroom. It gave examples of the different types of equipment, how to use them effectively, and any weaknesses or considerations they may have. Overall, I find computers to be the most useful resource a teacher can have in a classroom, especially with the Internet. New grammar or vocabulary can be presented in a much better way using a computer than a board, and with much less class time used for the teacher to write. Although it takes time to prepare, once an electronic resource is made, it can be used over and over, and edited as needed. This saves the teacher a lot of class time in the long run, which means more time for the students to practice. I found the list of electronic resources at the end of the unit to particularly helpful and look forward to using them.
