In this unit, we watched two videos of two differently taught lessons and saw how students reacted to two different styles of teaching. In the first video we see, the teacher is quite cold with the students and appears to be quite unhappy the entire one. In the second lesson we see a positive teacher who tries to engage all students in the class. It was nice to compare the two styles of teaching and see what not to do as a teacher and what I, myself, could do to maximize the effectiveness of the lesson.This unit covers modal auxillary verbs, passive and active voice, as well as phrasal verbs. I feel that I have learnt a little more about phrasal verbs, but it is difficult for me to understand. This unit gives some clear instructions and some teaching techniques that I found useful. Clauses are divided into two sub-types and include independent clauses, and dependent clauses. Relative clauses are dependent clauses that modify a noun and can be defining relative clauses or non-defining relative clauses.
