I feel this sector would really boost students knowledge of the language. They are using the everyday skills they take for granted in their own language (reading and writing) and this really puts their skills into practice. Also I think if they are using everyday topics for the activities like well know actors in the example, they will be more likely to remember what they have learned easier then if they were just doing a word search activity.I have worked with non English speaking people, and communication was a challenge. We always managed to get the task done, and have fun with communication in a work environment. To study the theories, methods, and techniques in unit 3, brought back some of the challenges I experienced on the job with communication. I can understand why ESA is the preferred method, because it involves people, keeps there interest, and promotes participation.
