A teacher may encounter different levels of ?beginners? within his/her students. Each has their own level of knowledge, exposure and goals that need to be identified. The greater a teacher?s ability to adapt to their environment, the easier it will be to transition from a class of young English learners to a session for ESP students. A teacher needs to also realize the different motivation levels of their students and the cause of enthusiasm. For example, ESP students may lack energy from working all day verses young students whom will have a full drive for an exciting class.Accuracy and fluency are basic aspects of productive skills. These are incorporated in the study and engage phase of the lesson. Speaking is a task for some students because they are not usually comfortable with a foreign language and needs more practice. As a teacher we must create an environment where students are able to express themselves and develop confidence. Writing has its own qualities such as handwriting, spelling, and creativity. There are also different forms of spoken and written language that we must consider when creating our lessons and our goal is to be EFFECTIVE.
