This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
It is interesting to see the different rules for \"If\" and the functions. I never really thought about \"IF\" being used for so many different circumstances. For example, If I use \"If\" with a \"present simple+ will\", I will be saying that it is a \"real situation\" that may be possible in the future. Also, I never noticed that when talking about reported speeches that past perfect and past perfect continuous are the same when translated from direct speech. This unit helped to solidify my understanding of proper grammar use when speaking about the present tense. In total, there are twelve tenses that an EFL teacher must know. However, we only learned about four in this unit - present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. There are varying rules and uses for each one. Learning about these gives me a concrete foundation to hopefully breeze through the tenses in the later units.
