This unite is based on methods,theories and techniques used in teaching English as a foreign language.This unit has provided me with great knowledge on the different methodologies of teaching English ,specifically with the ESA (Engage-study-activate)methodology and how to apply in real it with supplying great example exercises.I have also learned the best way to give feedback to learners as well as how to correct mistakes/errors made by students to ensure they learn in the best possible wayThis gives a summary of introducing new language content, whether it be grammar, vocabulary, or functions. I learned about the criteria by which to choose vocabulary words for the students to learn. Not only does the word's similarity to their native tongue carry weight, but also the similarity to other English words they have previously learned. Also the unit emphasized the need to explain to students if the written and spoken versions of a particular phrase or structure differ in any way.
