This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This without a doubt has been the unit I have learned the most from so far, I never knew all the science behind the sounds that me make and why we make them. The phonetic script has been quite difficult to understand, it is like a whole other language, I guess its just practice and getting used to how this look and sound. Teaching pronunciation will indeed be quite important when teaching, and will have to try an explain the best I can to the students. This unit covers the Future Tenses in more detail. The seven most common tenses; future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, 'going to' future, present simple and present continuous. I've learnt that the most complex areas of the English language are indeed the future tenses! While the 'going to' future and present continuous are the most frequently used future tenses, the future perfect continuous tense is rarely used.
