This unit presented two dramatically different English language classes, based mostly on the attitude and skills of the teacher, and consequently on the participation of the students. In the first video, the teacher was very impatient with the students, repeatedly asking them the same question about modal auxiliary verbs, and seeming almost belligerent and definitely condescending by saying how easy the topic is. Of course, not being able to answer made the students (at the very least) uncomfortable, which made it difficult to be open to the lesson. In the second video, the teacher was engaging, relaxed, very organized and even funny. The students responded accordingly, and attempted answers even if they did not seem 100% certain they were right. It was a great class, my support of this opinion is based on the number of times the students answered, and their smiles.
