This unit covers writing and speaking skills. I found the information on speaking very helpful and interesting as it is the most foreign to me. The descriptions of the variety methods of classroom activities and specific suggests were particularly helpful, as well as the sample lesson progression. The unit then goes through the same steps for writing, which I found quite similar to teaching English as a first language study have done. It was good repetition for me.I found this unit relied on a sound knowledge of the past, present and future tenses studied in previous units and, although I thought I was very familiar with their usage I did find that converting the direct speech examples became a bit confusing in question 17. I understood that the sentence was past simple (went) however I became confused when the sentence changed to 'the week before' rather than 'last week'. I then questioned whether I had the tense incorrect.
