In this unit, I learned of the various physical arrangements that will best allow students learn in a classroom setting. Rapport between the students and teacher as well as amongst students is important for creating a positive learning environment that will best meet the needs of students and learn the most material. Also, the way the class is structured at different points throughout the lesson will affect how students interact with material, the teacher and with each other (i.e small group work, pairs, individual work, and larger group work).This unit teaches how to appropriately construct lessons based on varying course matter such as vocabulary, grammar, and language function. When selecting what vocabulary to teach it is important to consider how appropriate it is to the students and the task at hand. When having students learn vocabulary make sure they learn the meaning, spelling, pronunciation, and how/when/ and where it belongs. The same goes for teaching grammatical structure and language functions in addition to the form and patterns or usage, and what tenses are to be used.
