This unit is about potential problems that may arise in different teaching situations and gives tips on how to manage them, how to establish rapport with students, motivate them and get them to participate willingly. It also gives suggestions on how to handle particularly large classes and how to avoid the use of native language use in class. I think it is a good overview of different situations that may be disruptive to effective teaching and learning if not managed with care.This unit discusses the present tense and it's four aspects. It gives sentence structure for the present tense and each of the four aspects. What I found really helpful from this unit is the breakdown of the grammar. I do teach some grammar, but like most native English speakers, I do not know how to explain things to the students or the correct names of the different aspects. This unit breaks it down into a simple and easy way for me to not only learn, but to teach it too.
