This unit explains the 4 types of past tense: Simple, Continuous, Perfect & Perfect Continuous. Each can be used in an affirmative, negative or question form. Examples of affirmative forms:
Past Simple: I worked {verb+ed and others, in case of irregular verbs, e.g.: bought for buy}
Past Continuous: I was working {was + verb+ing}
Past Perfect: I had worked very hard {had + past participle}
Past Perfect Continuous: I had been working all morning {had + been + verb+ing}In this unit, I feel that the teachers are given a clear layout of suitable study materials for students. Most of the time, it is a bit of a task to insist on using all the specified activities and exercises in the course because every student or group of students have different needs and level of understanding. So I think it is best to first determine which material works or does not work for your students and then proceed to follow the helpful guidelines on this unit.
