This unit focused on some of the different types of special groups that an English language teacher may find themselves teaching. The groups mentioned in this unit were beginners, individuals, children, business people, and monolingual vs multilingual students. Though this unit was fairly comprehensive, I would really recommend including students with special needs. Particularly in school settings where English is a required course, there are bound to be a handful of students with special needs ranging from very mild to moderate. These would likely be in the forms of autism, attention disorders, and behavioral disorders that do not require a student be pulled out. This is something that is very important for teachers to know how to handle and accommodate for, and unless the people taking this course studied education, it is unlikely that they have had training to do so.
