There are various groups of ESL learners ranging from beginners to business esl learners and so on. Teaching each group has its pros and quirks and as an ESL teacher it is our sole responsibility to initiate a form of motivation in the students or clients as the case may be. The lessons should be of the same language level with the attendants and the teacher should make lessons as fun and engaging as possible so that the students do not lose interest along the way.This unit has informed me on forms of language functions which I was originally ignorant of. Patchwork ESA structure is what I believe I need to use in my future lessons for my upper intermediate level students as it completely gets the students involved in the lesson and the teacher interrupts when and where necessary. Vocabulary is keen in building a good English speaking life so I will also incorporate new words that are appropriate to my students in my lessons.
