In this Unit, I learnt about various teaching equipment and aids. Many different teaching aids can be used to make lessons more interesting, effective and less dependent on the textbook. Different schools of course, have different resources available to teachers. Few of them are- White/Black Board, IWB, OHP, Visual Aids, Worksheets and work cards, CD Player, Videos and DVDs, Dictionaries, Course books, Resource books, Photocopier, Computers, Online resources, etc..From this unit I realized that the teaching of Business English generally uses the same basic tools of regular English lessons. Where it differs, however, is in the way these tools are implemented and how they must be adapted to the specificity of teaching to adults - who have different motivations than young learners - in corporate environments - where the stakes are higher than regular scholastic institutions - and for the particular tasks their jobs may require.
