this lesson is a bit complicated for me the explanation was not quit sufficient in my opinion the video was as most of the others very monotone and boring and hard to listen to. As an instructor I have found more interesting ways to present things especially when the subject matter is not very interesting, and for foreign language students trying to learn a new language I can only imagine that this approach would be extremely difficult to digest and understand. I will re study this lesson and then do my best to present this to my students in a way that they can learn.This unit is typically about phonology which is the study,science ,analysis and classification of physical properties of sound.The main aspects handled in this unit are intonation;we get to learn the rise/fall tones together with teaching techniques, Stress;we learn the speakers implied meaning from their stressed words and we also learn which syllables are stressed.Another aspect raised here is the phonemic alphabet with phonemic symbols;voiced and unvoiced consonants,vowels and diphthongs with some teaching techniques,when to teach pronunciation and reference books.
