In this unit I learned some interesting facts that I knew but you do not really think about on a daily basis. Because of this it opened my eyes to how the english language is really broken down, which I thought was very neat! I thought it was interesting to learn that each word in a sentence plays a crucial role in the structure of that sentence. Teaching this to young learners will be a challenge but a good challenge that I am ready to take on!During this unit I have been exposed to different approaches on teaching EAL. I clearly understand that to succeed in this objective, the teacher must select the best strategy that take into account the objective of the class, the level of English and the needs of the students. The importance of keeping students engaged in each activity and the opportunity for them to improve their English and put it in practice must be fundamental in each lesson.
