It is important that teachers opperate in each of their roles equally and appropriately within the context of the classroom discussion and activities. A good teacher should be able to manage, organize and initiate the classroom and activities. A good teacher should always assess and evaluate progress in order for the students to reach their goals. Prompting the student when they are stuck and giving them time to come up with the answer themselves is important for them to gain confidence and know you are there to help at the same time. The teacher should participate in activities, tutor students one on one as needed, and model what they teach in every occasion. Finally, these should all be done in balance with observing on monitoring the classroom always. I would like to become more comfortable with initiating activities and assisting where needed instead of babying them.
