This unit goes over the actual layout for how to plan a lesson plan. Though, there is no one way to write a lesson plan, it differs from teacher to teacher depending on their personalities and needs for their classes. The unit does provide a good template for beginner teachers. I learned how one activity can flow into the next and how that easy flow is necessary for success along with flexibility and preparedness. There is a balance between being too prepared and not at all prepared.In this unit, I learned about course books and lesson materials. First, the unit differentiated between authentic and created materials. Then, several examples of created materials were presented, such as crossword puzzles, word searches and role-play cards. Next, the unit discussed course books and their disadvantages and advantages, as well as their best uses. The unit also stressed that is is important for the teacher to adjust the course book's material to the needs of the class.
