This lesson taught me how to properly organize my ideas for lesson into a well coordinated, time appropriate, and measurable plan. Following the ESA (Engage Study and Activate) method is key to not only teaching, but getting students excited about the material at hand. It's imperative to understand what your learner objectives are. Ultimately, the learner objectives will reflect what students will learn during that class and need to be measured at the end of class.The unit content was interesting and less difficult than Grammar. Nice of you alternate the units.
For class management I am able to draw on lectures, seminars and tutorials I have run as an adult but I haven't taught young children. I have good memories of schools in my younger years and draw on that experience although there is no substitute for classroom time. My partner and I will look for volunteer work in English Teaching Schools in India, later in the year.
