This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
We learned how to manage a class: from the teacher gestures and posture, to the arrangement of the class and grouping of the students.
We learned how to use eye contact, how to use our voice and students'should names. We learned the pros and cons of different ways of grouping students, and what to take in consideration when arranging a class.
Finally we learned how establish a good rapport with the students while giving instructions, and how to respond to problematic behaviours. In this unit we looked at the use of the present tense and how it is constructed in its different forms. Furthermore I've also learnt the usages of the present tense in its different forms which will be useful during the study stage of a lesson and also when correcting or giving feedback on common mistakes made by students. Also, the unit covered some useful activities that could be used during the activation stage of my lesson in order to get students to use the target language.
