The productive skills, speaking and writing, are the focus of the unit twelve. This unit illustrates accuracy and fluency activities and explains writing skills and speaking activities in the classroom including controlled, guided and creative activities. Moreover this unit also provides an example of a typical creative speaking/writing activity ESA lesson, as well as guidelines for such activities. In addition unit twelve talks about games in the classroom and provides some useful examples.This unit was a grammar unit about modals, phrasal verbs and the passive voice. These are much harder concepts to teach than previous grammar points but really make a person's speak sound more native. If a student can use modal auxiliary verbs they can express much more with their speech.
The passive voice allows students to shift the focus of sentences from the person doing the object to the object itself, so they can express more about things they find interesting or events that happened.
