In unit sixteen I reviewed information about conditionals and reported speech. These two grammatical aspects are quite difficult. Conditionals are sentences containing “if†which refers to past, present and future possibilities. There are five main conditionals: zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. For teaching this aspect teacher might use split sentences, completing the conditionals using own ideas, chain conditionals, what a question game, nuclear bunker role play. Reported speech is difficult aspect for students as well. It is so because all tenses are changing. For example if direct speech is in present simple, then reported speech will be in past simple. The same with pronouns: I changed to he/she. As teaching ideas teacher can use the following: intermediaries, reporting verbs, media interviews.
