A sentence that is not properly structured causes confusion. It has been a long time since I systematically learnt English Grammar in middle school, I am really glad that an in-depth review is provided in this unit. Even if English is my dominant language, I still make Grammar mistakes occasionally. The rules to pluralize nouns and to change verb forms are particularly difficult due to the number of irregularities. Practicing using the rules should be exercised daily, not only for new learners but also for frequent speakers.This unit dealt with modal auxiliary verbs like: can, could, may, need to and others which are used to add meaning in sentences. Teaching ideas proffered were quite interesting such as role play: advice from a doctor, prohibitions and signs that are normally displayed in public places.
The unit also dwelt on tenses and phrasal verbs. Unit activities were helpful in revision where sentences given in active voice were being converted to passive voice and such activities make learning real and can be replicated by the teacher.
