I learned that the future tense is quite possibly the most complex tense. Both the present and past tenses only have about four aspects, but not only does this future tense have these four basic aspects, but it is even made with special uses of the present tense. This level of complexity is confusing to a native speaker, and as such, it is easy to imagine that this topic would be incredibly confusing for future non-native students. As a result, this may require more instruction time than the other two tenses.I understand that testing is important for monitoring the progress of students and to test what they have retained from the lessons but it need to the right kind of testing. The idea of having the last ten minutes of the week for evaluations and discussion, whether as a group or on an individual basis is a good idea. This can be an effective alternative/addition to constant testing and hopefully a good way for the students to self reflect on what they need to work on and it gives them a place to ask questions
