The Evaluation and Testing unit looks at the different methods of evaluating students English level. Student's language level can be assessed through tutorials, evaluation by students and tests.
Tests are usually used to identify student's language level or progress which is made at different stages. They are placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests and practice tests.
The unit covers the information about general external examinations and Cambridge Assessments for non-native speaker of English.The unit has helped restate the need for more student talk time and less teacher talk time;giving best times for TTT when giving instructions,setting up activities and giving language input. I've learned different classroom setups and understanding that all setups must factor in learners ages, nationalities and personalities. I've been reminded of former work experiences to focus on bulding relationships and making the classroom one of relaxzation, fun, and open rapport balanced with hard work and discipline.
