The focus of this unit was on the correct use of the Present tenses. I think that it is very important for us as teachers to know all these rules because we are role models for our students. If we use the tenses incorrectly, they will do the same. Before this unit I didn't really thought about all the specific rules for this tense. Now, having all this information I can better explain to my students the differences between tenses and the rules for the correct use of Present tense.This unit provided an insight to different teaching methods and techniques that I was previously unfamiliar with. Many teaching theories I had not heard of before nor practiced. I found the \"silent way,\" an interesting method as it would challenge the teacher and students in implementation and require solid class structure and norms. I believe it would push some students to think more critically and independently as they must rely on their own resourcefulness to reach an answer.
