In our school we don't have any test systems put in place, however, with the new program that we're working on I would definitely like to introduce a placement tests to place students in the correct level and progress tests throughout to gauge their improvement. In Japan parents love to see how their children have improved so I think putting tests in place would be a good move. I would also like to give them out as a teacher so that I can tailor the lessons according to their strengths and weaknesses.When I first began teaching our school's director insisted we hand in lesson plans each week. Everyone grumbled about it and many teachers refused to do it or handed in their lesson plans late on a regular basis. I don't know why many teachers find it such a chore. Honestly, I didn't look forward to it at first, either. however, over time I came to rely on my lesson plans and felt more organized knowing what I was going to do each day and preparing for each lesson accordingly. Lessons plans are great!
