This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson has taught me the differences between present tenses. There is present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. Present tense means saying something like, \"I go to the park.\" Present continuous means saying something like, \"I am going to the park.\" Present perfect means saying something like, \"I have gone to the park.' Present perfect continuous means saying something like, \"I have been going to the park for 3 years.\"Out of all the units so far this has been the most practical. It was very helpful to think about what kinds of activities would be acceptable at each stage of a lesson, and which activities work best for teaching the different aspects of language (grammar vs vocab vs oral communication). I think that the Boomerang lesson format fits my teaching style the best, and allows for more checking for understanding, and a larger variety of activities to capture students interests.
