I found this unit particularly interesting and enjoyable. Reported speech and directed speech are new terms to me on an academic level, and explains some of the things I know naturally as a native English speaker in ways that I can then be able to teach to others, previously it was hard to even put into words. I am still finding I mix up the conditionals as this is my first exposure to such language terms and I can see how it can be easy to get wrong.This unit focuses on the very fundamental part of language learning, and that is the tenses. Tenses are difficult in both English learning and teaching, however, if the teacher is clear about the tenses and is able to make students understand them easily, it definitelt will not be a problem for them.
This unit explains the rules and usages for the present tense, namely simple present, present continuous, perfect present and perfect present continuous.
