firstly, a teacher will always need to establish rapport with students and set the tone of the rest of the course, whether she be meeting a new group or an existing group. Also it is very important to begin classes with warmers in order to inspire and motivate the class before commencing with lessons.
there are a few common problem situations in the classroom that the teacher will encounter. The group could consist of students that are on different levels, there might be reluctant students in the class, students might want to revert to their native language when they feel they cannot express themselves well in english, the group could be too large and some students might even have difficulties with listening texts. A teacher must at all times find solutions to help all of these difficulties, like using pair work, teaching difficult vocabulary before listening text and so on.
